About Me
Hello, my name is Benjamin! I'm a first-year student at Cornell University, originally from Millburn, New Jersey. I'm interested in solving socially important problems (e.g. in healthcare and the environment) with computing, particularly with AI and computer vision. I also enjoy exploring the outdoors, running, studying geography, and writing.

New Jersey Academy of Sciences (NJAS) Symposium
- Streamlined the review process for 80 judges and over 200 student research projects
- Added google forms/sheets API integration, judge ID and student verification, sanity checks for valid form input
Open-source work
- Reached out to Medical Open Network for AI (MONAI) core dev team, invited to attend weekly meetings, did bug fixing and answering community inquiries
- Currently working on an expository paper and from-scratch implementations of common deep learning architectures (MLP, CNN, Transformer, etc)
Hobbies
I'm a runner, having done cross country and track and field (sprinting & jumping) in high school. In the summer of 2024, I completed a grueling 10K race up Loon Mountain, New Hampshire - deemed "Most Competitive Hillclimb" by Runner's World Magazine!
I also love spending time outdoors and in nature, such as hiking or camping. But when I'm not able to travel far from home, I enjoy exploring new places and learning about different cultures through the game GeoGuessr. I had so much fun with the game that I reached top 80 on the competitive, no-move gamemode leaderboard in USA!
Here are some of my favorite photos from places I've been, in real life of course:
